The Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP) is excited to host our annual MEP Industry Networking Event. This is an exclusive, yet relaxing networking opportunity for both industry professionals and talented MEP Students. As one of the first networking events of the year, this event is an opportunity for our students to practice their networking skills in a supportive environment. Although not required, many of the professionals in attendance were previous MEP Alumni.

Checking In
Please show up as close to 3:30 p.m. as possible. This will give you enough time to settle in and grab some refreshments before students arrive. Check-in will be in the lobby of the event center.
What to Bring
You will be provided with a cocktail table, company sign, and tablecloth. Please bring business cards and dress casually. If you have a company shirt, that’s perfect! Please don’t bring “swag” to the event. Additionally, if you need swag or materials for the career fairs later in the week, please reach out to Career Services to coordinate.

What's Different About This Event?
- This event is heavily advertised to our MEP Students and we hope this event allows them to celebrate and promote their uniqueness.
- Although MEP Students will primarily receive advertisement for this event, the event is open to all Cal Poly students who choose to participate.
- The goal of this event is to give students the opportunity to learn and practice their networking skills prior to the Fall Career Fair
- Many of the industry representatives are...
- Engineers or Computer Scientists themselves (not recruiters). Giving students the opportunity to build their network and learn more about their field of interest.
- Cal Poly MEP Alumni - which we look forward to reconnecting with every year!
What is the cost?
A $350 fee is put directly towards funding MEP services and MEP’s partnership with Cal Poly Cares.
