Mentoring

Corporate Connections

Corporate Connections is our industry-to-student mentoring database. Students are provided a list of professionals who work in various industries. Corporate professionals work with the students to encourage academic success and career development by sharing their own knowledge about their field and personal experiences in getting to where they are today. MEP and College of Engineering students might also be referred to corporate mentors if they are considering changing their major to their fields.

To learn more about being a participant in Corporate Connections, professionals and students can view this presentation.

Poly Pals

In collaboration with the Engineering Advising Center, Poly Pals mentoring program works to increase the academic, social and professional success of engineering students.   First year engineering students will be matched with a continuing undergraduate student in their department.  The mentor-mentee relationship will provide new students with an ally to help them navigate the complex university system while building a greater sense of community.

Transitioning to a new university can be quite an adjustment; Poly Pals eases students into change by providing one-on-one mentoring throughout new students' first academic year.

Learn more about Poly Pals and apply to participate by going to the Engineering Advising Center website!
